Compare Gold IRA Companies Side by Side

Updated October 18, 2026Facts checked against sources on October 18, 2026

The short answer

This page lists our head-to-head comparisons of Gold IRA companies. Each one puts the same fields side by side: stated fees, minimums, custodians, depositories, buyback terms, Better Business Bureau data and public-record searches. Company statements are claims. The comparisons pick no winner, give no scores and make no recommendation.

How can I compare two Gold IRA companies?

Start with the same questions for each company: what the minimum is, what the account fees are, who the custodian and the depository are, what the company says about buying your metal back, what the website terms say, and what public records and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) show. A comparison is only fair if both companies get the same fields and the same level of scrutiny. The CFTC's customer advisory on buying physical metals is a useful checklist of questions to put to any dealer, and the IRS publishes a list of approved nonbank trustees and custodians that you can use when a company names its custodian.

Our head-to-head pages do that. They are built from the companies' own pages and from public records, and each states which pages were re-opened and which were not. Company statements are written as claims. Complaints and lawsuits are allegations unless a court or regulator has ruled. Read the full company reviews for more detail, and see how to evaluate a Gold IRA company and our methodology.

Which comparisons are published?

These pages are published so far. The order is alphabetical by first company name and has no meaning.

Every page listed above includes Augusta Precious Metals, which is our affiliate partner (see the disclosure at the top of this page). We wrote these pages with the same fields and the same scrutiny we apply to every company, and we did not edit the Augusta review for them. More comparisons will be added when both companies' facts have been collected and checked.

What do the comparisons not do?

They do not rank companies, name a best one, score anyone, or tell you what to buy. A table of published claims is not a verdict, and a longer list of items for one company can simply reflect what that company or a public record made available to read. Fees, minimums and terms change, so check each company's current pages and agreement before you decide. For decisions about your own retirement account, speak with a qualified tax or financial professional.
